Jimi Hocking will be making his way to the Bellarine to make up for a show cancelled earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Having settled into the role as a new father, Hocking has now rescheduled the show for Saturday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll be making good on my gig at the Uniting Church in Queenscliff,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s such a great sounding venue for a solo show.\u201d Hocking has been in the blues scene for decades, with a solid and successful career alongside many different acts.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have a few different hats, the Screaming Jets, session work, mandolin trio \u2013 my career has been a great mixed bag,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe past few decades has been an absolute rollercoaster for me \u2013 one minute you\u2019re hot, the next you\u2019re not\u2026 but I\u2019ve won awards, had number one albums and that must mean I\u2019m doing something right.\u201d Reflecting on the first time the Screaming Jets had a number one album in Australia, Hocking refers to it as a \u201csurreal and amazing feeling\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought, surely now I\u2019ve made it!\u201d His stage presence is one of many factors that set Hocking apart from the rest.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m no shoe-staring artist.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m famous for my style jumps and guitar history, I\u2019m the flashy guy!\u201d With a long career spanning over decades and 14 solo albums ranging from retro to rock \u2013 this is one show not to miss.<\/p>\n
