Kariah White was a standout player, creating plenty of opportunities for Galaxy up front.<br \/>\nGalaxy United\u2019s Sheree Holdsworth said it \u201cIt was a great atmosphere and we had good \u201cIt was all smiles for Galaxy as they left the pitch having secured the win, which was not only great for the club but for women\u2019s football in our region.\u201d<br \/>\nSurf Coast Shire mayor Rose Hodge turned up to support the team and was presented with a Galaxy United Guernsey as she was announced it was fantastic the senior side started with a win,\u201d she said.<br \/>\n\u201cThe committee has done such a fantastic job to get a regional team into Victoria\u2019s new Women\u2019s National Premier League and I\u2019m proud to be named as the club\u2019s inaugural \u201cThere is so much female footballing talent on the coast \u2013 we may even see a budding As the only club outside of Melbourne to be offered one of only eight licences for the WNPL for the next three years, Galaxy United to the next level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GALAXY United seniors got their inaugural season in the Women\u2019s crowds throughout the day.
