Liz suffered a major ankle injury while walking over a plastic cover over a drain and, fortunately for her, others realised her situation was likely to be one leading to a compensation claim right away.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With evidence from the scene, Liz went to a well-known law firm, which started legal proceedings.<\/p>\n

She soon became concerned with how the matter was going, as no one had asked her to go and see the accident site, and there was very little communication.<\/p>\n

She wondered whether this firm could really win for her. In a win, she had been told she could receive between $70,000 and $80,000.<\/p>\n

Her matter was issued against those responsible for the water drain and its cover. The defendant took a very hostile attitude to the claim, saying through their lawyer that the claim had absolutely no basis whatsoever.<\/p>\n
