heroes keep Queen\u2019s Baton moving"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Queen\u2019s Baton Relay was cheered through the streets of the Geelong region on Monday, with the Torquay leg travelling from Torquay College to a community celebration at Point Danger.<\/p>\n<p>Colac teenager Lucinda Hateley, nominated for her dedication to the Scouting movement, was given the honour of being the first of 16 runners in the Torquay leg, showing off the baton (which had arrived from Queenscliff) to a crowd of pupils from Torquay College and St Therese Catholic Primary School.<\/p>\n<p>As of today (Thursday), the Queen\u2019s Baton is in Bendigo, and it is scheduled to finish its 230,000-kilometre, 388-day journey on April 4.<\/p>\n<p>For the latest updates, head to gc2018.com\/qbr.<\/p>\n<div
