After playing New Year\u2019s Day at Falls Festival in Byron Bay, they\u2019re following the WSL tour around the county for their new show, The Sewer Tour.<br \/>\nHailing from Sydney\u2019s Northern Beaches and made up of Ozzie Wrong (professional surfer and artist Ozzie Wright), Vaughan Dead (former pro surfer and Surfing World editor Adam Blakey), Cutthroat Cowboy (Ryan Cowell) and Killa Whale (Timothy Cooney), Goons of Doom were formed by accident.<br \/>\nJust a group of friends with no musical experience at the time, they came together in 2003 to act the part of the band in the cult indie surf film, Doped Youth.<br \/>\nWithin five days of buying their prop instruments, they plugged them in, started practicing, and played their first gig at a mate\u2019s party.<br \/>\nWhen filming on Doped Youth wrapped up, they decided to continue as a real band, consistently playing at parties and bars before touring with The Beautiful Girls.<br \/>\nSince then, they\u2019ve released singles and albums sporadically and popped up on stages in Australia, the US and Europe from time to time.<br \/>\nThey also nabbed a spot at Byron Bay\u2019s La Casa artist residency, which has also hosted Flume, Liam Finn, Ms Mr, The Delta Riggs, Donavon Frankenreiter and more.<br \/>\nIn a show that\u2019s sure to be filled with laughs and lots of mischief, Goons of Doom are playing at the Torquay Hotel, supported by Gold Coast\u2019s Bleach Girls on Friday March 25, doors open at 7.30pm.
