{"id":812,"date":"2016-03-10T05:00:09","date_gmt":"2016-03-10T05:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surfcoasttimes.com.au\/?p=812"},"modified":"2017-12-08T14:04:21","modified_gmt":"2017-12-08T03:04:21","slug":"music-festival-to-support-karingal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/living\/music-festival-to-support-karingal\/","title":{"rendered":"Music festival to support Karingal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend\u2019s Motor City Music Festival will help raise funds for the Eastern Hub that will house the ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) Clubhouse.<br \/>\nThe three-day festival, full of great bands and great music at the showgrounds in East Geelong, has taken on Karingal as its official charity.<br \/>\nThe clubhouse will be a place for people living with an ABI to attend programs and access muchneeded peer support.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Karingal Foundation is delighted to be the official charity partner for the 2016 Motor City Music Festival, an outstanding community-focused festival,\u201d Karingal Foundation executive officer Caroline Moore said.<br \/>\n\u201cThe commitment by the Motor City Music Festival team to work with us and their enthusiasm to support Karingal\u2019s vision for \u2018a fully inclusive community where people with a disability live the life they choose\u2019, and our mission to \u2018enrich lives through support, advocacy, partnership and choice\u2019 is second to none.\u201d<br \/>\nThe festival brings together an eclectic line up of established independent singer-songwriters, top-line tribute bands, country, rock and a massive family fun day on the Sunday.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Motor City Music Festival is a festival for people who want to have fun while hearing great music all weekend.
