It promotes peace between those who participate by playfully throwing coloured dye on one another.<br \/>\nThe festival has gained international popularity in recent years and is now celebrated on every continent.<br \/>\nEvery hour, the MC will alert everyone at the main stage to throw their packets of coloured powders, and people are advised to wear a white T-shirt for the best results.<br \/>\nThere will also be a range of other activities, including a variety of stage entertainment, such as live music and cultural performances, as well as meditation, fortune-telling and henna body art sessions.<br \/>\nFor the little ones, there will be face-painting, a jumping castle, children\u2019s activities and more.<br \/>\nThe Festival of Colours, sponsored by the Victorian Multicultural Commission and the Surf Coast Shire, will be held at Barwon Park Mansion, 105 Inverleigh Road, Winchelsea on Sunday (March 20) from 11am-4pm.<br \/>\nFor more information, head to festivalofcolours.com.au.<br \/>\nThe family-friendly fun continues elsewhere in the Surf Coast Shire over the weekend, with the Aireys Inlet Open Mic Music Festival starting tomorrow (March 18).
