VILLAWOOD Properties has again joined forces with Henley to deliver the Royal Children\u2019s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Charity Home Auction.
\nThe developer has donated a premium block of land at its Trillium Mickleham community, with Henley supplying the two-storey, four-bedroom home.
\nAbout 400 trades and suppliers have also donated their time and effort to get the home completed for the March 25 auction.
\nVillawood Properties executive director Rory Costelloe said that with 36 homes having been auctioned over 22 years, the initiative had raised almost $13 million for the hospital since its inception.
\n\u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to again bringing this event to our Trillium community. The home, by Henley, to be auctioned is just a stroll from the community\u2019s amazing residents\u2019 club, its parklands and a host of other local attractions, meaning the successful bidder will be gaining an enviable lifestyle as much as a home.
\n\u201cLast year\u2019s event, also held at Trillium, was highly successful with the home selling for $646,000, all of it going to the Royal Children\u2019s Hospital. We\u2019re hopeful of going even better this year.
\n\u201cAs usual we\u2019re putting in a big effort to make it a success, as are our suppliers and contractors and those of Henley.
\n\u201cThis initiative resonates in particular because so many of us involved have been personally touched by the amazing work of the Royal Children\u2019s Hospital.
\n\u201cIt also strikes a chord because of our passion for engaging with the issues that affect and improve the broader community.\u201d Bellarine Property managing director Christian Bartley will again act as the auctioneer for the day as well as adding a special family touch.
\nMr Bartley\u2019s father has donated a 1956 Olympic towel signed by Dawn Fraser to be auctioned, with all funds also going to the Good Friday Appeal.
\nThe auction will also be a day of family fun, with appearances from various celebrities and Channel 7 personalities.
