{"id":85245,"date":"2022-11-18T14:37:46","date_gmt":"2022-11-18T03:37:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=85245"},"modified":"2022-11-18T14:37:46","modified_gmt":"2022-11-18T03:37:46","slug":"million-dollar-views-from-heritage-mansion-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/real-estate\/million-dollar-views-from-heritage-mansion-site\/","title":{"rendered":"Million-dollar views from heritage mansion site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A $125 million transformation of a colonial-era Geelong mansion into luxury waterfront apartments is coming to market.<\/p>\n<p>Developers MONNO \u2013 formerly CostaFox \u2013 has launched its Stella Maris project at Bay Street, Rippleside with more than 50 properties available, with the top-end homes expected to command up to $6 million.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/COST2002_StellaMaris_84100.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"665\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Stella Maris is at the site of the former Covenant of Mercy at St Helen&#8217;s Park, with the original heritage-listed residence to be restored as part of the development<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The new residential building will include 50 apartments and three townhouses, with one-bedroom apartments starting at $595,000, and penthouses of three and four bedrooms ranging from $4 million-$6 million.<\/p>\n<p>Architects Rothelowman designed the 1.25-hectare site fronting St Helens Beach with contemporary homes, while Carr Design will aim to return the mansion to a single residence that includes modern extensions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-85257 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/COST2002_StellaMaris_84198-1.jpg?_t=1668742641\" alt=\"\" width=\"595\" height=\"744\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/COST2002_StellaMaris_84198-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/COST2002_StellaMaris_84198-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/COST2002_StellaMaris_84198-1-819x1024.jpg 819w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/COST2002_StellaMaris_84198-1-768x960.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 595px) 100vw, 595px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The development would also include a wellness centre with a lap pool, gym, yoga and steam rooms, edible garden, charging bays, plus sustainability features and layered landscaping.<\/p>\n<p>MONNO expects to begin construction in the second half of next year, with homes finished during 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re incredibly confident to bring Stella Maris to the market.
