“We are not only encouraging new swimmers to come and take part, but we hope the surf club community from Jan Juc and other clubs come down,” she said.<\/p>\n
“We’ve had some real hotties come down over the years who are really fantastic swimmers and want to compete in our colder waters.<\/p>\n
“We hope to get some of those real legends of the sport down for the Danger Ocean Swim Series.”<\/p>\n
The Danger 500 swim and the Danger 1000 swim will be held in the protected bay area of Torquay Front Beach on a triangular course, with the starts on the clean, sandy beach.<\/p>\n
The 2.5km and 5km swim events start and finish at Torquay Front Beach and swimmers will head from Cosy Corner towards a turnaround point at Fisherman’s Beach.<\/p>\n
The More Dangerous 2.5km and Even More Dangerous 5 km races will kick off the day’s proceedings around 9am, followed by the Danger 500m at 11am and then the Danger 1000 at 11.30am.<\/p>\n
