Photos: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The neighbours next to the stable in Bethlehem, where Jesus is born, call for a wall to be built so they can get some peace,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By the end of the play, they realise that there&#8217;s no need for the wall, because Jesus came to teach peace to the world.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a fun way of telling the traditional Christmas story,&#8221; Mary Bremner added.<\/p>\n<p>As well as the play, a band of local musicians will accompany the singing of favourite carols.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_85998\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-85998\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-85998\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/B7355D84-5E0A-4F1A-_51304.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"362\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-85998\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The carols and nativity play are returning after a two-year break.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Organisers from the Aireys Inlet Uniting Church are asking everyone who comes along to bring a Christmas gift or financial donation, to be distributed through Barwon Uniting to families in the district who are doing it tough at this time of year.<\/p>\n<p>The Aireys Inlet Community Carols will take place in the Aireys Inlet Community Hall this Sunday, December 4, from 7.30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Entry will be by gold coin donation to cover expenses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THIS weekend&#8217;s Aireys Inlet Community Carols will spruik the benefit of inclusion, with this year&#8217;s nativity play highlighting the many places in the world where misguided attempts have been made to create peace by building walls.
