Organiser Sally Cannon said hundreds turned out Friday, December 2, to see the switch be flicked on the 80,000 pre-programmed LED\u2019s that adorn the 35-metre Norfolk Pine on the town\u2019s foreshore, that will be on between 7.30 \u2013 11.30PM until January 26.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a great night, the weather was on our side, it was fantastic,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Local musical acts Gaz and Jen and Temp Work Space kept the crowds amused as they waiting for the sun to properly set so the fireworks could begin, run by local Danny Cox.

Santa arrived not by sled but via police car, local officers then showing the vehicle off to kids who\u2019d gathered around, and the granting of temporary liquor permit for the night meant people were able to pack an esky and park up on the foreshore for the evening.<\/p>\n
