Photo: DANIEL WOLFE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Glazebrook said the attendance far exceeded organisers&#8217; expectations, to the point that the committee optimistically printed 1,000 lyric cards for attendees but well and truly sold them out within 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Common was full, it would have been hard for us to fit anyone else in,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We had a guy donate an $80,000 speaker system and volunteers were running speakers down the lines to try to pump the sound out to cater for the huge numbers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was incredible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_87607\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-87607\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-87607 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/12\/image0000-600x380.jpg?_t=1671495969\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-87607\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Torquay Common was said to have been so full on Saturday that it would have been tough to fit any more people in.
