{"id":8777,"date":"2018-03-07T07:51:37","date_gmt":"2018-03-06T20:51:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=8777"},"modified":"2018-03-13T20:30:14","modified_gmt":"2018-03-13T09:30:14","slug":"open-gorcc-coast-plan-cuts-mustard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/open-gorcc-coast-plan-cuts-mustard\/","title":{"rendered":"Be open with GORCC so coast plan cuts the mustard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) is conducting a review of its Coastal Management Plan, ahead of the preparation of its new plan for the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>Chief executive officer Richard Davies said Great Ocean Road Coast staff would be out and about meeting with the community over the next few months to review the plan and to discuss specific themes of population growth, community engagement and climate change adaptation.<\/p>\n<p>Initial open houses will be held at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6pm-8pm, Wednesday March 14, Aireys Inlet Community Hall<\/li>\n<li>4pm-7pm, Friday March 23, Fig Tree House, Lorne Community House<\/li>\n<li>4pm-7pm, Wed March 28, Spring Creek Community House<\/li>\n<li>4pm-7pm, Friday April 30, Anglesea Community House<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Further information about the planning process and opportunities to contribute is available on the Great Ocean Road Coast website at gorcc.com.au.<\/p>\n<p>The sessions will complement the Coastal User Survey, which is now open with all participants going into the draw to win a $1,000 Rip Curl voucher.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis survey is a critical element of the Great Ocean Road Coast Committee\u2019s Coastal Management Planning process and helps us to identify priorities,\u201d Mr Davies said.<\/p>\n<p>The existing and previous surveys are available at gorcc.com.au or surveymonkey.com\/r\/2018_GORCC_Survey.<\/p>\n<p>The survey closes April 1 at 5pm.<\/p>\n<p>The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee is a not-for-profit organisation that manages 37 kilometres of public land and coastline from Torquay to Lorne.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) is conducting a review of its Coastal Management Plan, ahead of the preparation of its new plan for the next five years.
