THE Christmas Eve Santa Run, a well-loved Torquay and Jan Juc tradition, is only a day away and excitement is palpable among the dedicated volunteers at the Torquay Fire Brigade.<\/p>\n

Two Santa Runs, both starting at 4.30pm tomorrow (Saturday, December 24) and going through the Torquay and Jan Juc localities, has been a staple of the Surf Coast’s Christmas celebrations for the past six years and an excellent opportunity for local firies to meet the community in less stressful circumstances.<\/p>\n

“The Christmas Eve Santa Run continues to build and build and build in popularity each year, and this will be the seventh time the community has the option of attend this event again,” Third Lieutenant David Muir said.<\/p>\n

“There was a brief span of a couple years where the Santa Run didn’t look its usual self, but now things are pretty much back to normal and we’re all excited to see the community out in force again.<\/p>\n
