THE second season of Netflix TV drama Surviving Summer is returning to the Surf Coast with shooting set to start this week at several well-known coastal locations.<\/p>\n
The local production schedule involves shooting between January 30 and March 11 before it moves to Melbourne and northern NSW.<\/p>\n
The series’ Surf Producer Fran Derham said shooting will take place at many of the same places that featured in season one of the show, including beaches at Jan Juc, Point Roadknight, Fairhaven and Anglesea.<\/p>\n
“So look out for jet skis and surfers in the water and we hope not to get in your way when surfing at your local break,” Ms Derham said.

\nHouses in Anglesea, Torquay and Jan Juc are also being used for shoots.<\/p>\n
Casting company Geelong Extras has put the call out for competitive to beginner surfers aged between 15-30 to take part in shoots both on and off land.<\/p>\n
Ms Derham said she and colleagues were looking forward to returning to the coast.<\/p>\n
“We just love the community down there, we were so welcomed last time and we can’t wait to go back,” she said.<\/p>\n
