AN IMMENSELY popular image of last year’s full moon eclipse taken on the Surf Coast by local photographer Craig Crosthwaite has made its way to the other side of the world.<\/p>\n

An American primary school teacher discovered the time-lapse image of November’s blood red moon when she was looking online for photos to show one of her astronomy loving first-grade pupils, who was upset he had missed the event due to cloud cover and bedtime.<\/p>\n

After explaining the reason for her request to Mr Crosthwaite, he agreed to gift a copy of the image to the boy.<\/p>\n

“So glad I could help Wesley out. A little boy in Minnesota now has an image of the lunar eclipse taken on the other side of the world, here in Anglesea, Australia,” Mr Crosthwaite said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
