{"id":956,"date":"2016-03-24T01:44:51","date_gmt":"2016-03-24T01:44:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surfcoasttimes.com.au\/?p=956"},"modified":"2017-12-08T14:04:15","modified_gmt":"2017-12-08T03:04:15","slug":"festivals-menu-is-off-the-hook","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/living\/festivals-menu-is-off-the-hook\/","title":{"rendered":"Festival\u2019s menu is off the hook"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You\u2019ve probably heard the Sustainable Hook and Vine Festival is on again, and know to arrive early for excellent kids entertainment, followed by top local and interstate bands.<br \/>\nNow it\u2019s time to share delicious details about exactly which scrumptious dishes will be served up on the day.<br \/>\nBe prepared to make plenty of choices, with Clyde Park Vineyard and Bistro Bannockburn\u2019s chilli prawn wood-fired pizza, The Love Mussel\u2019s Portarlington mussels cooked three ways and Growlers\u2019 grilled barramundi with salad and chips.<br \/>\nThere\u2019s also Uber Mama\u2019s garlic and pepper calamari and Ginger Monkey\u2019s very special paella.<br \/>\nThese options offer just a glimpse of the menu, there will be even more dishes to delight tastebuds and satisfy tummies.<br \/>\nGreat options for children and for patrons looking for something other than seafood will also be available.<br \/>\nIf it\u2019s a beverage you are after, there will be Otways and regional Victorian ciders, Winchelsea, Geelong and Bannockburn wines, and beers from Torquay and the surrounding hinterland \u2013 don\u2019t miss the beer launch by a local butcher.<br \/>\nSweet-tooths haven\u2019t been forgotten, with everything from crepes, coffee, donuts, ice-cream, juices and smoothies also being whipped up on the day.<br \/>\nThe Sustainable Hook and Vine Festival\u2019s ambassador this year is Gladioli chef Matt Dempsey, who will share his views on sustainable and seasonal food choices.<br \/>\nSustainable Hook and Vine Festival will be on Saturday April 9 from 11am-6pm at Torquay Common.<br \/>\nTickets are on sale now.
