DEVELOPERS are seeking final approval for plans to build four modern warehouses at a disused property in Anglesea’s industrial precinct.<\/p>\n
Surf Coast Shire Council was this week advertising the proposal at 13-15 Inverlochy Street via its online planning portal, weeks after local real estate agents started a sales campaign for the commercial properties.<\/p>\n
The property currently consists of one aluminum shed and has been used for storage of industrial debris.<\/p>\n
The current proposal would create one small warehouse of 70sqm and three ranging from 123 to 132 sqm, all with loading bays, mezzanine office space and car parking.<\/p>\n
Proponents say the industrial development will cater for a variety of business and storage purposes in a “premium quality industrial business park”.<\/p>\n
Planning documents say that use of materials such as timber and cladding reflects the surrounding area’s location in a “sympathetic” design that “will not visually compromise the amenity of the area”.<\/p>\n
“The proposal will deliver a high-standard urban landscape, which responds to the provisions of the state and local planning policy and complies with the Surf Coast Planning Scheme.<\/p>\n
“The proposal has been designed with due regard for its surrounding rural character which is proposed to be continued into the site and would result in highly amenable and be sited appropriately adjacent the Anglesea hinterland.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
