The young Torquay local was delighted to blow her expectations out of the park, spending five hours teaching different children how to make the bracelets to result in a whopping $429 from just gold coin donations.<\/p>\n
Anna’s mother Katie said she was incredibly proud of her daughter’s efforts to support and brighten up the lives of sick children and their families.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “It’s actually phenomenal\u2026 I don’t think Anna realises how amazing it is what she is doing,” her mother Katie Evans said.<\/p>\n “Anna loves making bracelets and we decided to fundraise for people who really needed it\u2026 I chatted to her about various charities.<\/p>\n “Because Anna has been to the Royal Children’s Hospital herself, she wanted to raise money for them.<\/p>\n “We had probably about 50 kids come to make bracelets on the day\u2026 there is even still people at Anna’s kinder who want to buy them.<\/p>\n “I thought maybe we’d go there for an hour or two but people just kept coming, it was fantastic.”<\/p>\n Good Friday Appeal area manager Peter McMahon said he found it incredibly heartwarming to see young locals like Anna embracing the cause.<\/p>\n “She did a fantastic job, she set out to raise $100 for the sick children and has already got to $429 which is crazy,” Mr McMahon said.<\/p>\n “It was pretty cute to see a four year sitting at the table and teaching other girls how to make bracelets\u2026 it was actually quite touching.<\/p>\n “I was absolutely flabbergasted; it was probably the highlight of my day to see her in action\u2026.
