The Barwon Heads Art Group is bringing back their much-loved annual Easter Art Show, and this year it will include a live painting demonstration.<\/p>\n

Art group convenor Dorothy Schwarze Van Dorp said the exhibition would bring its usual well-loved community atmosphere to the weekend, as well as a special paint demonstration by local artist John Moore on Easter Friday and Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n

“It’s a community art show and the community always loves it.<\/p>\n

“We have our repeat visitors who come along every year, and lots of new faces.<\/p>\n

“There will be ocean sceneries, that is always a favourite theme in the paintings, local scenery, birds, animals – everything.”<\/p>\n

Van Dorp said all paintings on display would be available for purchase, as well as hand-painted cards and gifts.<\/p>\n

Ten per cent of everything sold on Good Friday will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.<\/p>\n

“It’s a gold coin donation, just come along and enjoy the atmosphere with all the artists, and they artists love nothing more than showing their works.<\/p>\n

“They’ve been working for 12 months on these paintings and are very proud of their work.”<\/p>\n

The exhibition will take place at the Barwon Heads Senior Citizens Club in Clifford Parade over the Easter weekend from April 7-10 and will be open each day from 10am-4pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
