Respect, responsibility and resilience at Gordon Primary School
A CHILD’S first year at school is a pivotal moment in their educational journey, and Gordon Primary School embraces this journey with a steadfast commitment to excellence.
A cornerstone of the Gordon community, Gordon Primary is dedicated to preparing students for the demands of 21st century learning, while instilling in them the core values of respect, responsibility and resilience.
A core part of the school’s mission is the cultivation of a ‘learner profile’. Recognising that each child brings their own set of talents, interests and learning styles to the classroom, Gordon Primary strives to empower students to become responsible and valued members of society.
The school sets and maintains exceedingly high standards in
both teaching and learning, ensuring that every student receives a top-tier education that equips them for lifelong success.
Initiatives such as information sessions and workshops mean the school community is strongly involved in supporting student learning and enrichment, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared understanding.

The vibrant school community extends beyond the four walls of the classroom, with a dynamic school council and parents and community committee driving positive change and improvement. From enhancing playground facilities to organising engaging extracurricular activities, the school’s dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to enhance the overall school experience for students.
A range of services, including before and after-school care and holiday programs, ensure students’ needs are met both inside and outside the classroom, as part of Gordon Primary’s holistic approach to supporting students’ wellbeing and development. Then, of course, there’s Arlo, the school’s beloved groodle, whose presence brings joy and comfort but also fosters emotional regulation, social connection and communication skills, enriching the learning experience for everyone in the school community.
Gordon Primary also has an innovative kids’ shed, affectionately known as Beachy’s Shed, which gives students hands-on opportunities to explore STEM concepts through woodworking, robotics, science and construction. This year sees the development of a kindergarten on-site, with its doors opening in 2026 with its first two classes. With this new addition to the school,
we aim to foster a strong transition between kindergarten and school – ensuring that students develop the skills required for school and feel connected to the school community before starting their foundation year.
Gordon Primary School invites anyone interested in further information or a tour of the school to get in touch, and be part of shaping their bright future.
