THE Moorabool Shire Youth Art Awards are returning for another year to allow artists aged 11 to 25 to showcase their creativity.
The event will also include the launch of ‘M’ Zine Vol. 2, sharing the works of the region’s emerging artists, photographers, poets, and authors.
Entertainment, finger food and drinks will be provided.
Moorabool Shire mayor Cr Paul Tatchell said the event is an important annual initiative celebrating young people’s passion and creativity.
“The current categories enable the recognition of young people’s perspectives, artistic talent, and works that reflect the lives and landscapes of Moorabool,” he said.
“The 2025 event is combined with the launch of the second volume of the ‘M’ Zine that showcases submissions of multiple mediums – including photography, digital illustration, short story, painting, and more.
“The zine was launched as an initiative in 2024 and will continue to be published annually to reflect young people’s voices in Moorabool.”
The Youth Art Awards are supported by Rotary Bacchus Marsh and will be held on Friday 27 June at West Maddingley Early Years and Community Hub.
