EIGHTY-five people attended The Arena at Lerderderg Library last week for the launch of Heart and Soul of Marketing by Matt Romania.

The book is a guide to empowering charities and community groups.

Mr Romania has worked with community groups for more than a decade and wrote the book as a guide to empower charities and community groups.

“I would like to thank everyone who came to the launch,” Mr Romania said. “And I am very grateful to the wonderful people who spoke at the event.

“No words can express my gratitude and appreciation.

“Proceedings were opened by Mark Zocchi from Brolga Publishing who shared why the publisher supported the book.

“Philanthropist Paul Wheelton AM reflected on his experiences and explained why charity branding and storytelling are so important.

“Hannah Brennan OAM interviewed me and I was able to give the audience insights into the writing process, challenges, highlights, leadership insights and what lies ahead for the book.”

At the event, Mr Romania interviewed former AFL player, the Bacchus Marsh Cobras’ Dennis Armfield.

“Dennis spoke about his charitable journey, community leadership, resilience and career learnings relevant to the not-for-profit sector,” said Mr Romania.

“With Kat Barlow we discussed with the audience how charities with limited budgets can use creative storytelling, grow through innovation and support their teams and volunteers.”

The event concluded with book signings, photos and conversations between attendees and speakers.

“The super teams at Moorabool Libraries, CWA Bacchus March Day Branch and Whats Knots Printing and Framing helped to make it all happen,” Mr Romania said. “I am very grateful.”
