An artistic way to say thanks to mum
Create a unique gift at the Mother's Day craft workshop Ballan 2026. Join the free flower pinch pot session at the Ballan Library and Community Hub this Saturday.
A chance to be creative for the young and young at heart, and to sort out a Mother’s Day present, is available in Ballan at the weekend.
While many will be visiting florists and gift shops on Saturday 9 May to secure a heartfelt present for their mums or mother figures, Ballan Library and Community Hub will host a flower-themed Mother’s Day Craft workshop.
The free program will offer those attending the chance to make flower pinch pots.
Makers of flower pinch pots take some of nature’s most colourful features and craft them into an item that could be used across the home and for display.
Moorabool Shire mayor Cr Steve Venditti-Taylor said the library was coming through for residents by offering them the opportunity to make an exceptionally good gift.
“Our library team does a fantastic job in running events, workshops and activities and this Mother’s Day craft event is no exception,” Cr Venditti-Taylor said.
“Participants will have the opportunity to create a flower pinch pot for mum or for someone special.
“It’s a free activity with a fantastic, own-made gift at the end of it.”
The Mother’s Day Craft workshop will be held on Saturday from 10.30am to noon. It will be held at the library and community hub at 127 Inglis Street, Ballan.
All materials will be provided as part of the program. No experience will be needed.
Bookings are not required for the workshop. Children under the age of 12 will need parental supervision to participate in the event.
