FIREFIGHTERS, police, paramedics, SES volunteers and more will gather to showcase their skills at the Emergency Services Expo 2025 in Myrniong on Sunday.
To be held for the third year, the expo will take place at St Anne’s Winery from 10am to 2pm.
Hosted by the CFA Pentland group of fire brigades, the expo will feature the CFA, Ambulance Victoria, Forest Fire Management Victoria, Fire Rescue Victoria, Crimestoppers, Victoria Police, the Red Cross, the SES, St John Ambulance, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

There will be a $5 car parking charge, with all proceeds to go to the Myrniong Fire Brigade.
Pentland group events manager Lisa Cruickshank said the expo is an ideal way for emergency services to share what they do and demonstrate their skills outside an emergency situation.
“Not just the CFA’s but everyone’s; the capabilities of all the different service providers,” she said.

“[And also] to engage the community in a way that’s comfortable and family friendly – to build their understanding of what we do and why we do it.”
Ms Cruickshank said the expo also worked to encourage new recruits for the volunteer CFA, St John Ambulance and SES services.

She said the services will share information and advice so people can arm themselves with knowledge before they are faced with a flood or a fire, but also how best to recover after an incident.
Ms Cruickshank said last year’s expo featured a visit by a firefighting helicopter and attracted about 3000 people.
“That was from all over – from Gippsland, from Melbourne and Bendigo, not just locals,” she said.

Santa will be a special guest on Sunday and will make his entrance on a fire truck.
There will also be face painting for children, and St John Ambulance will be teaching youngsters basic CPR and how to call Triple Zero.
St Anne’s Winery is at 64 Garrards Lane, Myrniong.
