A BRAND-new all abilities play space is in the works, and is set to be ready in the coming months.

Located at the Bacchus Marsh Racecourse Recreation Reserve, it will cater for all abilities with the inclusion of an accessible spinning dish, a sensory and sound area with three accessible musical instruments, a flying fox with a harness style accessible seat, and a sand pit with an accessible sand table on the side.

A Moorabool Shire Council spokesperson said the new play space would also include three picnic shelters, all with an accessible barbeque and tables.

The space has been designed with all abilities in mind.

Two towers – one 6.6 metres tall and one 7.1 metres tall – will also be included, with a netting tunnel connecting them.

Junior play equipment, climbing nets, three trampolines, two of which are fully accessible, and swings with one basket swing will also be available for kids to enjoy.

A brief and design for an off-leash dog park at the Bacchus Marsh Racecourse Recreation Reserve has also commenced, but the project is currently unfunded.
