Another threatened species, the Wombat Forest

An enjoyable pastime is exploring the great forests and parks in Moorabool and dipping your toes into the Lerderderg River on a hot day, but all that could change if the exploring becomes exploration.
Recently Blackwood locals were alarmed to find that large drilling rigs were extracting samples near Yankee Creek, which feeds into the Heritage listed Lerderderg River, and not far from the local mineral springs.
