Online shopping is convenient and a huge time-saver, especially in the lead-up to Christmas, until a porch pirate comes along and plunders your Christmas present deliveries.

If you’d like to make life difficult for local porch pirates, follow these simple steps:

– During the check-out process, leave delivery instructions, such as nominating a safe spot for parcels to be left.

– Use registered post and signature on arrival options.

– Set up a collection point with Australia Post – you can get packages sent straight to your local post office or sign up for a free 24/7 parcel locker.

– Install CCTV or motion activated monitoring services. While it won’t stop a porch pirate, it will assist in deterring or identifying them.
