IT is nearly time to celebrate Moorabool’s young people at the annual youth awards.

The awards celebrate the talents, achievements, and dedication of young individuals working to make their community a better place to live.

The ceremony will be held on Thursday 28 November from 6pm at Bacchus Marsh Public Hall.

Moorabool Shire Council CEO Derek Madden said the event is a great opportunity to highlight the efforts of local young people.

“Our annual youth awards provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognise the significant contributions and achievements of our young people,” he said.

“We’re very much looking forward to the event and to rewarding youth on their hard work, leadership, excellence and community connection.”

The evening will include entertainment, food and drinks, and guest speaker Fergus Watts.

“This year, the awards will include a speech by REACH Foundation’s Fergus Watts, a fashion show, musical performances, food and art displays,” said Mr Madden.
