There must be something in the water in Moorabool, as the number of births has reached a record high in the Shire.
Moorabool Shire Council CEO Derek Madden announced on Thursday, 11 July that 408 babies were born in in the district throughout the 2018-2019 year.
“Council would like to congratulate all the families welcoming new babies,” said Mr Madden.
Djerriwarrh Health Services, which runs the Bacchus Marsh and Melton Regional Hospital, confirmed they delivered 538 births in the last financial year, with slightly more boys than girls.
