Back on stage
After two years of COVID lockdowns putting a halt on competition the 2022 competition season is underway for our local group – Pentland Calisthenics College.
The first weekend of competitions was July 30th which saw the Tinies (aged 3 -7yrs) and the Seniors (18yrs+) head to Penola College in Broadmeadows for their first outing under lights.
The Tinies started off the morning with their four items and placed in each of them receiving a Highly Commended (5th) for Free Exercises, Rods, Dance and Honourable Mention (4th) for their Song.
The Seniors followed straight on from Tinies. They were awarded the following placings for their six competition items:
Honourable Mention: March, Clubs and Free Exercises,
3rd: Rods, Rhythmical Aesthetics and Dance Arrangement
It was the Sub Juniors (aged 8-10yrs) to make the trip to Panola for their first competition.
They had the best possible start to the year by winning the overall competition Aggregate with 28points for the day. To reach this score the achieved the following places:
1st: March, Free Exercises and Aesthetics
2nd: Rods and Song & Dance
3rd: Clubs
Congratulations to the girls and their coaches. Coach Dannae said she was very proud of the way the girls worked on the day in what was a very friendly competition.
