Ballan students staying hydrated
BALLAN Primary School staff and students have celebrated the installation of a Central Highlands Water Choose Tap water fountain just in time for National Water Week.
National Water Week begins Monday 21 October, and it encourages the community to think about using water wisely.
Choose Tap Ambassador Alanna Peart was at Ballan Primary School to mark the occasion and students learnt about the importance of hydration for concentration.
“It’s important that when students are outdoors or in the classroom, that they understand the benefits of keeping hydrated all throughout the day,” said Ballan Primary School principal, Lachlan Carlyle.
“This new drinking water fountain will support us educate on the benefits of why choosing tap is important to everyone’s health, hydration and concentration.”
The Central Highlands Water Choose Tap program aims to educate the community about the benefits of tap water for health, hydration and the environment.
“Central Highlands Water has the vision to foster sustainable living, thriving communities and a healthy environment,” said Central Highlands Water Managing Director, Jeff Haydon.
“We are proud to collaborate with Ballan Primary School to promote the benefits of drinking tap water through the Choose Tap initiative.
This fountain installation will not only support students with their health and hydration, but also educate on we can have a positive impact on our environment by refilling their reusable drink bottles.”
