Whether they have one employee, or 100 employees, businesses across Moorabool are now eligible to enter the Business Excellence Awards.
And previous winners Yagra and Arthur, owners of Grant Pizza Place, know just how good it is to win, having taken out the 2015 Hospitality Award which is now on display in the shop.
“We’re very proud of the award, we’re a little shop in a small town and with all those big businesses out there – it just goes to show that with dedication and pride in what you’re doing, if you’re involved and you listen to your customers then you can win, and that recognition is really rewarding,” Yagra told the Moorabool News.
Instead of entering the awards again, Yagra and Arthur have decided to instead sponsor the hospitality category for the 2017 awards.
“We just think there’s so many businesses out there in the hospitality area in our region that are so good, that we want them to experience what we did and we want to help by sponsoring the awards, and get the word out there.”
The award categories are of course the Hospitality Business Award, as well as Manufacturing, Home Based, Trade Services, Local producer, Retail, Professional Services, Accommodation, and the Business of the Year Excellence Award.
Businesses make their own submissions for the above awards, and can also make submissions for the following three awards but can also be nominated for them as well – in the categories of Young Achiever Business Award, Outstanding Tradie Award, and the Mayor’s Award acknowledging an Outstanding Individual.
Award nominations and submissions close on 11 August and can be made online at www.ballanchamberofcommerce.com.au/awards
