Bird count will be a hoot

The Aussie Bird Count is almost here again, and some incredible prizes are on offer to those who take part.

The 2022 event is less than a month away, and will run during National Bird Week from October 17 – 23.

A bird count requiring just 20 minutes of birdwatching in your favourite outdoor space, be it your backyard, your local park, or even the middle of your town.

Not only will participants be helping BirdLife Australia learn more about Aussie birds, they will also go in the running to win a range of fabulous prizes, from an Olympus Digital Camera package worth over $5,600, to beautiful ‘Create Your Own Flock’ prints and a pair of Swarovski binoculars worth $3,490.

Bird counts can be submitted though the Aussie Bird Count website or the app, and you can submit as many times as you want.
