“Coimadai during fire season, is like a box of firecrackers ready to go off, and now someone wants to put sparklers on it,” a local CFA firefighter told the Moorabool News.
Eight CFA captains wrote letters to Victorian Premier Dan Andrews explaining the risk the proposed overhead powerlines will have on rural bushland, and why firefighters are refusing to fight fires near them.
