Boy band album debut

Bacchus Marsh based band Hollow Everdaze are celebrating the release of their debut album Cartoons with a performance at the Curtain on Russell Street in Melbourne.
The performance on Saturday 5 August, will mark the day their album will be available in stores.
Cartoons is the first full length album the band has released, and its release coincides with a peak period in the bands popularity. The boys have found popularity in sections of Eastern Europe, and College radio in America, with a rotation of songs played on 87 separate college radio stations and a spot at 123 on the college radio charts. They have also found success back home making multiple appearances on Triple RRR in the past three months for a live set and an interview, as well as receiving a four and a half star rating from the Brag in Sydney. They have also supported the likes of American Football, who are believed to have taking a shining to the band.
The album has been brought to life by the label Deaf Ambitions, which is run by a friend of the band. It has already reached high praises from themusic.com.au writer Chris Familton, who described the album as a collection of “lush, sun-kissed pop nuggets that swoon, sway and deftly swagger through ‘60s eccentricity, ‘80s/’90s British indie [with hints of] modernism [the likes] of a band such as Spoon”.
The band has been together for almost a decade after meeting at Bacchus Marsh High School, with Daniel Baulch and Jackson Kay being the only two remaining from the original line-up. Daniel and Jackson spearhead the creative process with the help of Myles Anderson, a recent addition to the band as the violinist. The band has faced adversity throughout their decade long career, the biggest being a fire that burned down their band room, with a large quantity of their instruments inside just over two years ago. The boys expressed how thankful they were for the help from the community to raise funds and rebuild the band room, allowing them to bounce back and release Cartoons.
