Brigades attend rollover

At 2:20 pm last Friday, Blackwood and Greendale brigades were paged to a fuel washaway after a vehicle rollover near the Greendale-Trentham Rd-O’Briens Rd intersection.

The vehicle had rolled over onto its side while negotiating deep ruts on a steep incline about 500 metres west of the paged intersection.

There were no injuries, and a small amount of diesel had leaked onto the track. Due to poor access, Blackwood tanker remained near the main road, while Blackwood and Greendale Ultra Light Tankers (ULTs), police, and a tow truck driver made their way to the accident site.

Blackwood ULT used its winch to gently put the vehicle back on its wheels, then the ULT towed the vehicle back to the main road to be loaded onto the tow truck.
