A LOCAL family are asking the community to lend a hand as the search for a missing loved one nears the three-week mark.

Rhys Hutchinson was last seen in Bacchus Marsh on 18 February wearing a black t-shirt, dark grey shorts, and black runners.

His twin brother Heath is urging the Moorabool Shire community to call the Bacchus Marsh Police Station if they see Rhys, or have any information regarding his whereabouts.

“Rhys is very well-known around town, and is kind, gentle, and approachable. He loves to walk and often chats with locals,” Heath said.

“He would often venture into city via public transport but would also walk long distances without much on his person.

“He’s a familiar face with local church groups here and in Melbourne. He also frequently walked around Lerderderg Park towards Blackwood.”

Heath Hutchinson said it was out of character for his brother to go so long without contacting family or friends.

“As a family, we’re devastated in not knowing where he is and are in shock that it’s been so long since he contacted us.

“We would think that anyone with information regarding Rhys would contact police immediately.”

To report a sighting or any information that could help locate Rhys Hutchinson, call Bacchus Marsh Police Station on 5366 4500.
