Car roll over on Western HWY

A 24-year-old man was flown to hospital with serious head injuries last night after his vehicle flipped on its roof on the Western Highway, near Pykes Creek reservoir.

Ambulance Victoria were called to the scene at around 10pm. The St Albans man was flown by air ambulance to the Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

A spokesperson for Victoria Police said the man was the only occupant of the car, which was travelling in the east bound lane near Myrniong.

No other vehicles were involved. An investigation continues.
