Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow
Victoria’s biggest caravanning and camping show is back at the Melbourne Showgrounds from 6-10 April 2022. Organisers, Caravan Industry Victoria, are expecting record attendance numbers.
In the past two years, the popularity of caravanning and camping has exploded. What was once the domain of ‘grey nomads’ has now become an opportunity for Victorians of all ages to experience the joy and freedom of taking their holiday ‘on the road’.
Caravan Industry Victoria CEO Rob Lucas says his team is preparing for the biggest show on record. A long-term caravanning and camping aficionado, Rob is not surprised by the exponential growth the sector has witnessed in recent years.
“With the closure of international and state borders during Covid-19 lockdowns, Victorians have looked closer to home for alternative travel options,” says Rob. “And thousands have discovered what many of us have known all along… that caravanning and camping is a truly safe, adventurous, and often cost-effective, way to see the world.”
“The beauty of camping is there is an option for every budget. From a two-man tent up to a top-of-the-range motor home with everything that opens and closes. And a wide range in between.”
This year’s Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow, which is held over five days, will showcase the latest and greatest from more than 180 exhibitors. Visitors will be able to see amazing innovation and design, experience interactive shows across the spectrum of caravanning, camping and motor homes.
“This is the most exciting show to date,” says Rob. “We cannot wait to welcome everyone to the Melbourne Showgrounds.”
