Choose healthy options for lunchboxes

Healthy lunches and snacks help children concentrate and play throughout the day.
Limit discretionary foods like processed snacks and sugary foods, and swap these for healthy alternatives.
Pack:
– cheese slices and wholegrain crackers over packets of chips
– chopped fruit instead of roll-ups
– whole-wheat pikelets instead of biscuits
– wholegrain muesli bars instead of sugary rice bars
– frozen berries in plain low-fat yoghurt over sweetened yoghurt, and
– water instead of soft drinks, cordial or juice.
