Community Grants round to open
In 2022/23, Moorabool Shire Council’s Community Grants Program awarded $166,970 to non-profit groups to deliver 27 community projects across the shire!
The Community Grants Program assists groups and organisations to provide new programs and events, build capacity and skills, create a vibrant arts and culture scene and an inclusive, connected community for residents.
In the latest round held in August 2023, Council allocated $124,600 to 16 community organisations.

The band has been meeting since February 2023; 16 people attended 23 rehearsals drawn from Ballan, Gordon, Blakeville and Bacchus Marsh.
The project has brought musical fun and colour to local events through the 6 gigs they have played, including:
• Moorabool Mushroom Festival
• Ballan Farmers’ Market
• Bohemian Gathering
• Melton South Primary School
The group are booked at upcoming events, the Ballan Autumn Festival Parade and CresFest.
