The narrowed corridor in purple.

By Lachlan Ellis

AusNet has narrowed its plans for the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project (WVTNP), announcing what it says is “the least constrained corridor”.
The single corridor, chosen from the multiple corridors identified by AusNet in February, is made up of five sections going from Bulgana to Waubra, and then weaving its way from Mount Prospect through Moorabool to Long Forest in the east, and then onto Sydenham.
The announcement was sent to local media at around 4:40 am on Wednesday 30 June, but not to landowners, with AusNet Services Executive Project Director, Stephanie McGregor, saying the company understands the concerns of landowners, and will work with them to achieve the best outcome.
