SENIORS in the Moorabool Shire have something extra to look forward to when the municipality once again participates in the Victorian Seniors Festival next month.
For the first time, the Moorabool Seniors Festival will include the Country Concert Tour, which is part of the statewide festival’s flagship program running throughout October.
The free Moorabool Country Concert will be held from 11am on Thursday 9 October at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall in Main Street.
It will feature a morning of dancing and music from the 1960s and 1970s, with a performance by The Stiletto Groove. Bookings are essential.
Adding to the festivities, the free Celebrating Connections Seniors Expo will showcase local services, community groups and advocacy organisations.
It will be held between 11am and 1pm, also at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall.

Attendees will be able to enjoy a free barbecue lunch, a sweet treat from an ice cream truck, and lucky door prizes.
They will also be able to take part in a range of fitness demonstrations such as line dancing, seated exercise or pickleball, and more.
Moorabool Shire mayor Cr Paul Tatchell said this year’s expo was a great opportunity for the community to come together.
“With hands-on demonstrations, a photo booth, barbecue lunch and sweet treats from the ice cream truck, it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect, discover and celebrate community life in Moorabool,” Cr Tatchell said. “Together, the free country concert and seniors expo headline a jam-packed 2025 program, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy during this year’s seniors festival.”
