Council support for business

Several initiatives have been launched by council’s Economic Development team to help support local businesses affected by the COVID-19 situation.
Last week Council launched the new COVID-19 business information page along with the Moorabool Shire Grants Hub.
Henry Bezuidenhout (Executive Manager Community Planning and Economic Development) said it is imperative the Shire’s businesses and communities have access to COVID-19 funding.
“And this, along with access to all other Federal, State, Local, and philanthropic/private grant programs will now be made all the easier via a one stop shop.
“The new Moorabool Shire Grants Hub is free to use for anyone across the Moorabool Shire community,” he said.

The Plough@YourPlace, chef and owner Mark Mills, has been doing take-away dinner meals from Wednesday-Sunday, with pickup or delivery available, since the COVID-19 regulations restricted his dine-in service at Myrniong and Trentham. Further details on page 8.
