Creative sessions heading to Moorabool
AFTER a successful pilot event last year, a series of sessions for regional creatives will return to Moorabool this month.
Last June, Regional Arts Victoria brought its ‘RAV in Residence’ program to Ballan, which RAV’s Membership Engagement Coordinator, Rhiannon Poley, said had received “really positive feedback”.
The free arts forum connects creatives to one another and to experts, with one-on-one chats, two sessions, and a networking event to be held on Tuesday 26 March.
From 9am to 1pm at the Ballan Mechanics Institute, artists can reserve a time to chat with RAV staff about creative topics they have in mind.
From 2pm to 4pm, a keynote address will be held by Lyndell Pond from Visit Victoria about ‘Creating Opportunities for Artists in the Tourism Economy’, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of ‘Cultural Tourism’.
Finally, from 4pm to 5pm, creatives will be able to get to know their fellow artists over a networking afternoon tea.
The events will be run in partnership with Moorabool Shire Council.
All events are free, but bookings are essential. For more information and to book for any of the events, visit RAV’s website.
