It hops on two legs and has a pouch, but it isn’t a kangaroo….

Introducing our locally native Swamp Wallaby.

Swamp wallabies can be spotted in areas of native bushland and along waterways. You’ll often hear them before you see them as they crash their way through the undergrowth.

Sadly, these gentle creatures are often hit by cars when they are crossing roads.

If you’re driving on country roads, please slow down at dusk and at night.
