Attendees will be able to dine in magical style this month, as the Ballan and District CWA again hold their successful High Tea event, as part of the Ballan Autumn Festival celebrations.
Following a successful 2018 ‘Down the Rabbit Hole’ themed tea party, CWA President Symone Barry said the branch was “over the moon” with its success.
“Our branch is thrilled to be working in collaboration again with the Ballan Autumn Festival in 2019,” said Ms Barry.
“The High Tea was a sell-out, and the inaugural cake decorating competition exceeded all expectations,” she said.
This year the branch hopes to build upon this previous success by providing additional seats at each of the three Tea sittings.
Following along with this year’s theme – the ‘Academy of Magic’ – Ms Barry said CWA are “creating wonderful props, displays and magical food items for visitors to really experience the ‘Magic’ of Ballan and its community.”
“Make sure you visit our magical cake, food and produce stall. Members will also be cooking up a ’storm’ and creating magic in all their offerings,” she said.
The CWAs traditional Devonshire Teas will be available in the morning of the festival, and the High Tea will operate between 1pm and 4pm.
High Tea bookings will be taken on the day, so get in early to avoid disappointment.
The CWA is also holding its cake-decorating and best pumpkin competitions, a tradition that Ms Barry says the branch “hopes to build on the coming years.”
