Doggie Deals on offer for footy fans
THIS weekend’s AFL match between the Western Bulldogs and the Gold Coast Suns in Ballarat will offer fans more than just the footy, with local venues offering special deals to all ticketholders to the game at Mars Stadium.
Commerce Ballarat and the Bulldogs have collaborated with restaurants, cafes and distilleries to deliver Doggie Deals.
A bumper crowd is expected to visit Ballarat for the Round 2 clash, and Commerce Ballarat believes this presents a great opportunity for the local economy in the lead-up to the game.
“Our local venues have provided some great offers for footy fans, and we hope to see many people taking advantage,” Commerce Ballarat chief executive officer Jodie Gillett.
The Doggie Deals include two gin and tonics for the price of one, free soft drinks with a meal purchase, bonus garlic bread, and many more.
“All people need to do is show their ticket to Sunday’s game at participating venues and they’re eligible for the Doggie Deal – it’s that simple,” Ms Gillett said.
“Commerce Ballarat is thrilled to partner with the Western Bulldogs to make sure that Ballarat’s AFL games are a success for the whole town.”
The Western Bulldogs’ Ballarat business development manager Kate Davis said the offers were a win for both footy fans and local businesses.
“We’re hoping for a record crowd this weekend and we’re delighted that they’ll be able to take advantage of these fantastic deals while supporting local businesses.”
